Hello todd, I'm unsure to understand. Linux's upstream i40e doesn't provide infrastructure to flash cards. The tools warns about it. There is no bug here. I understand that fact. The 1.2.37 out-of-tree driver does have this infrastructure but does not compile with a linux 4.0 kernel (not without patches provided earlier).
