I'm experiencing the splat below with the ioatdma driver with an Intel BIOS. I'm having trouble getting my support ticket routed to the right people (8001216403). I'm hoping someone on this list can offer some guidance. This is happening with Ubuntu 15.04 based on version 3.19 of the linux kernel. The board in question is an Intel S2600WT2 with an Intel I350 1GbE ethernet controller and using the most recent BIOS version.
Thanks in advance for your help, Craig [ 12.344594] ioatdma: Intel(R) QuickData Technology Driver 4.00 [ 12.344642] ioatdma 0000:00:04.0: enabling device (0004 -> 0006) [ 12.345072] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 12.345080] WARNING: CPU: 5 PID: 553 at /build/buildd/linux-3.19.0/drivers/dma/ioat/dca.c:698 ioat3_dca_init+0x19a/0x1b7 [ioatdma]() [ 12.345082] ioatdma 0000:00:04.0: APICID_TAG_MAP set incorrectly by BIOS, disabling DCA [ 12.345083] Modules linked in: shpchp ioatdma(+) ipmi_si(+) 8250_fintek ipmi_msghandler acpi_power_meter(+) mac_hid acpi_pad autofs4 dm_crypt raid10 raid0 multipath linear raid1 raid456 async_raid6_recov uas async_memcpy async_pq crct10dif_pclmul async_xor crc32_pclmul async_tx ghash_clmulni_intel igb xor aesni_intel dca hid_generic aes_x86_64 lrw raid6_pq gf128mul glue_helper ptp ablk_helper usbhid cryptd ahci pps_core hid usb_storage libahci i2c_algo_bit wmi [ 12.345113] CPU: 5 PID: 553 Comm: systemd-udevd Not tainted 3.19.0-22-generic #22-Ubuntu [ 12.345115] Hardware name: Intel Corporation S2600WT2/S2600WT2, BIOS SE5C610.86B.01.01.0009.060120151350 06/01/2015 [ 12.345116] ffffffffc0330078 ffff880463c7b9d8 ffffffff817c4188 0000000000000007 [ 12.345119] ffff880463c7ba28 ffff880463c7ba18 ffffffff810769aa 00000000000080d0 [ 12.345121] ffff88046a206000 ffff88046a6aeb60 ffff8804646c0b80 ffffc900120d0100 [ 12.345124] Call Trace: [ 12.345130] [<ffffffff817c4188>] dump_stack+0x45/0x57 [ 12.345133] [<ffffffff810769aa>] warn_slowpath_common+0x8a/0xc0 [ 12.345135] [<ffffffff81076a6f>] warn_slowpath_fmt_taint+0x3f/0x50 [ 12.345140] [<ffffffffc01ce881>] ? alloc_dca_provider+0x21/0x40 [dca] [ 12.345144] [<ffffffffc032ec2a>] ioat3_dca_init+0x19a/0x1b7 [ioatdma] [ 12.345149] [<ffffffffc032dfbe>] ioat3_dma_probe+0x35e/0x450 [ioatdma] [ 12.345153] [<ffffffffc032618e>] ioat_pci_probe+0x11e/0x1b0 [ioatdma] [ 12.345156] [<ffffffff81402a55>] local_pci_probe+0x45/0xa0 [ 12.345158] [<ffffffff81403c45>] ? pci_match_device+0xe5/0x110 [ 12.345159] [<ffffffff81403d89>] pci_device_probe+0xd9/0x130 [ 12.345163] [<ffffffff81507f93>] driver_probe_device+0xa3/0x410 [ 12.345164] [<ffffffff815083db>] __driver_attach+0x9b/0xa0 [ 12.345166] [<ffffffff81508340>] ? __device_attach+0x40/0x40 [ 12.345168] [<ffffffff81505d4b>] bus_for_each_dev+0x6b/0xb0 [ 12.345170] [<ffffffff815079fe>] driver_attach+0x1e/0x20 [ 12.345171] [<ffffffff815075d0>] bus_add_driver+0x180/0x250 [ 12.345173] [<ffffffffc02b5000>] ? 0xffffffffc02b5000 [ 12.345175] [<ffffffff81508bd4>] driver_register+0x64/0xf0 [ 12.345177] [<ffffffff8140228c>] __pci_register_driver+0x4c/0x50 [ 12.345180] [<ffffffffc02b508f>] ioat_init_module+0x8f/0x1000 [ioatdma] [ 12.345183] [<ffffffff81002148>] do_one_initcall+0xd8/0x210 [ 12.345187] [<ffffffff811d7199>] ? kmem_cache_alloc_trace+0x189/0x200 [ 12.345191] [<ffffffff810faad4>] ? load_module+0x15a4/0x1ce0 [ 12.345193] [<ffffffff810fab0e>] load_module+0x15de/0x1ce0 [ 12.345195] [<ffffffff810f62e0>] ? store_uevent+0x40/0x40 [ 12.345197] [<ffffffff810fb386>] SyS_finit_module+0x86/0xb0 [ 12.345200] [<ffffffff817cb24d>] system_call_fastpath+0x16/0x1b [ 12.345201] ---[ end trace 0bd950c64a7dff31 ]--- [ 12.345215] ioatdma 0000:00:04.1: enabling device (0004 -> 0006) [ 12.345516] ioatdma 0000:00:04.2: enabling device (0004 -> 0006) [ 12.345831] ioatdma 0000:00:04.3: enabling device (0004 -> 0006) [ 12.346319] ioatdma 0000:00:04.4: enabling device (0004 -> 0006) [ 12.346649] ioatdma 0000:00:04.5: enabling device (0004 -> 0006) [ 12.346979] ioatdma 0000:00:04.6: enabling device (0004 -> 0006) [ 12.347730] ioatdma 0000:00:04.7: enabling device (0004 -> 0006) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ E1000-devel mailing list E1000-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/e1000-devel To learn more about Intel® Ethernet, visit http://communities.intel.com/community/wired
