We purchased it from silicom-usa, this is the part:
model number: PE3100G2DQIR-qx4 V:1.4
http://www.silicom-usa.com/pr/server-adapters/networking-adapters/100-gigabit-ethernet-networking-server-adapters/pe3100g2dqir_server_adapter/
Do you mean that something more than normal linux and its built-in drivers is
needed to make this
NIC function?
Thanks,
Ben

Well, normally you'll need a login to Intel's portal to gain access to any
relevant documentation and SW packages.
Can you please indicate to me exactly what is this 100G NIC and how did you
obtain it?

All we did was the equivalent of 'ifup eth3'. We are not using network manager.
Can you point me to some documentation on this 'ies api based application'?
Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben,
From your ethtool output, I can see that you have:
Link detected: no
From past experiences, this means that you're not running an IES API based
application to manage the card.
Can you confirm that you have or don't have an application manager running?

Hello,
We're trying to get an Intel 100G NIC to work, and so far, cannot get it to
link.
The cable is: X0016I4AO3 QSFP28 10Gtek (any suggestions for a
better/different one?)
