This is not the only bug: Generally, any non letter/underscore character typed chooses the current selection.
That makes it difficult for example to do: Close tags: after < pressing / to close the tag chooses the current selection. <xsl: , when the colon is typed the current selection is chosen. So, at least !, / and : should not choose the current selection.
