Hi Brian, Looks like jikes' internal error... Are you using jikes bundled with IDEA?

Hello, We are having an issue with jikes... we get the following error when compiling our 3000+ classes. IntelliJ only shows this error for a few milliseconds... I had to hit printscreen on my keyboard at the perfect time to capture the screen for viewing the error message. Here is what the jikes compile console shows: Information: Assertion failed: false && "don't know what to do with signature" file getclass.cpp line 302. In the end IntelliJ states that the compile was successful, but when I try to run a unit test with JUnit, it throws a ClassFormatError. Java defines a ClassFormatError as: Thrown when the Java Virtual Machine attempts to read a class file and determines that the file is malformed or otherwise cannot be interpreted as a class file. Now if I change the project to use javac everything works fine, but unfortunately it takes about 7 minutes to compile all our classes. Any ideas? We are using build #629 on w2k, 1Ghz, 512M. Also I tried to go back to previous versions of IntelliJ, but got the same errors as far back as build #614.
