It helps, but it's still slower.
It's still too slow/unusable with "Animate Windows" on.
With "Animate windows" off, I still get long delays (see below) :
(all timings are approximative :-) )
Experiment :
- I open one panel (ex: /Project/ Panel)
- I click on the panel button underneath /Structure/.
=> delay : 0.1 sec.
=> the "Structure" panel button (vertical) becomes gray.
=> delay : 0.5 sec.
=> the project panel disappears in a snap
=> delay : 0.1 sec.
=> the "Projet" panel button (vertical) becomes white.
=> delay : 0.3 sec.
=> the structure panel appears (takes about 0,2 sec. approx)
