I have a similar problem with #633 (Haven't updated to #634 because of the
reported Autocompletion-bug. Autocompletion is the feature I use the most).
Sometimes when I startup IDEA it freezes my whole system. I does not
come to the point of displaying the IDEA window. It's just the splash
screen and the console window with no error messages in it. I cannot
move my mousecursor then and CTRL-ALT-DEL does not help. No reaction. I
then have to reboot my notebook the hard way - pressing the Power button
until APM (or what ever it is called) recognizes that I really really
want to reboot.
And I do run other JDK 1.4-apps. JEdit 4.0.2 runs without any problems.
idea.log does not seem to have any hints on what runs bad in such
situations (I surmise it does not reach the point of configuring the
Logger).
Hope #635 won't - by a magical miracle or something - have this problem.

Config:
IBM ThinkPad T 20 - Intel Mobile Pentium III 700 MHz - 256 MB RAM -
Windows 2000 SP2 - IDEA gets -ms128m -mx128m
