This is definitely an old topic that I saw in one or two posts several
months ago, but I want to add my +MANY to it :)
The ability to start recording a "macro", have your keystrokes recorded
until you end the macro and then be able to replay that macro from the
location of the caret at any point in the future.
As someone else said - it's a massive time saver for those repetitive
(boring!) tasks.
A possible extensions could be to allow the permanent saving of the macro
with an associated name.
(I've seen this in other editors but never bothered to use it myself, the
quick record/playback has always been enough).
