I have a large project with many source files. When I checkin/checkout a file, it takes a *very* long time for the IDE to realize the file's permissions have changed. It is extremely frustrating waiting for the editor to catch up (seconds seem like hours when you are in a hurry).
Here is a suggestion... many times the file that I checkin/checkout is the one that is active in the editor.
