+100!!!!!

I am constantly being fooled into thinking the editor has the focus when it
doesn't.  And it's not just the blinking cursor, but also the selections of
text.  Lots of other applications hide selections when they lose focus (or
somehow 'gray' them) and restore them when they regain focus, just to
emphasize that if you type anything, it WON'T replace or operate on the
selection, because the selection doesn't have focus.

As the subject says, the editor has a blinking caret even when it 
doesn't have focus.

This is very non standard and sometimes confusing.

I think this is misleading as one sees the blinking caret and starts 
typing even thou the editor doesn0t has focus.

Looking back, I think that this may have happened - and annoyed without 
I knowing why - sometimes.
