Ooops. It wasn't there when I looked. I swear :-) However, I still think that Idea shouldn't change line-endings in existing files (especially not in parts of files). Ideally, I would like the preference to apply to new files only, while existing files keep their current line-endings.
To determine the line-ending of an existing file you could either just use the first one, or find the most common line-ending in (say) the first 30 lines. /dan -- Dan Holmsand IB [EMAIL PROTECTED] > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On > Behalf Of Eugene Zhuravlev > Sent: den 1 oktober 2001 12:19 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [Eap-list] Line-ending trouble > > > Hi Dan, > > What is the value of the option Tools | IDE Options | CodeStyle | Like > Separator? > > Best regards, > Eugene Zhuravlev, > IntelliJ Software, http://www.intellij.com/ > "Develop with pleasure" > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Dan Holmsand" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Monday, October 01, 2001 14:13 > Subject: [Eap-list] Line-ending trouble > > > > When you do "Layout Code" on a file with Unix-style > line-endings ("\n") on > > Idea build 503 on windows, the line-endings are changed to windows-style > > ("\r\n") in the portion of the file that is reformatted. > > > > This causes trouble with CVS and other external tools. > > > > /dan > > > > -- > > Dan Holmsand > > IB > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > Eap-list mailing list > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-list > > > > _______________________________________________ > Eap-list mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-list > > _______________________________________________ Eap-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-list
