I totally agree that it is useful to be able to change the line-separators.

But when you're working with code that you share with others it's bad that
you ALWAYS have to change whatever was there in the first place.

Perhaps a new option in "Code style : Line endings" preferences: "Keep
original" would be ok for both of us.
