Huh? When did this start happening? I haven't switched to 507 yet, so I may be ignorant, but in 506, the <default> run configs show up in the toolbar and I use it every day...

You shouldn't actually run the configuration set up under default - IDEA doesn't list this as a runnable config in the toolbar for this reason. (Maybe the Run button should be greyed out for the <default> app?) It's just there to pre-populate a config with values you use most often. If you have five different configs, just give them five different names, none of which is "<default>"!
