Hi Eugene, it was a typo, it's should be VM Parameters: -Xdebug
these is the only parameter i use for Tomcat 3.2.2 After writing my previous message i tried again with the new Tomcat 4.01 and starting speed for debugging seems now to be the same as for Tomcat 3.2.2. I never tried remote debugging (socket and shared memory) again, because it's much slower than starting Tomcat in debug mode.
