This unfortunately doesn't help.
Too many situations leave me without the project pane and Sift-ESC
doesn't help.
1. Project pane is open
Open CVS pane
Double-click doc
CVS closes
PROJECT PANE IS GONE
2. Project pane is open
Open ANT pane
Open Hierarchy
Shift-ESC takes me to ANT
Shift-ESC closes ANT
PROJECT PANE IS GONE
The root problem is that if I set a pane not to auto hide and open it,
it should remain open until I explicitly close it.

Try to close windows via Shift-ESC or clicking minimize icon, and the
