Or, and I know I'm talking crazy here, each editor could be in its own window
and you could stack them or tile them, you could move them around, and you
could access them through a "Windows" menu that listed all the currently open
windows along with keyboard shortcuts (ctrl-1, ctrl-2, etc.) for each one.
