pentium III, 600MHz, 512MB ram, SuSE 7.2, sun jdk1.3.1 (i tried blackdown j2sdk1.3.1 --not much of a difference in respect to speed)
it's especially slow when: - browsing directories - repainting (on dialog popups, tab switching etc.) it's worst if i switch to another virtual desktop and then come back to the one with IDEA running --> the whole window stays grey for more than a minute! evervthing gets worse with time, i.e. just after startup it's bearable, after 15 minutes i can't really work efficiently anymore. it actually made me switch back to 2.0.3 :-( i can't remember exactly in which build it got slower (i pretty much tried every build since ~#517). i think i began to notice it around 525. however, it definitely isn't an issue with IDEA 2.0.3 hope this helps... cu: rahel Valentin Kipiatkov wrote: >Could anyone who experience problems with performance in latest IDEA builds, >describe in which build exactly the problem appeared please?
