You too eh :-)

Well there may not be VAT involved with IntelliJ if they bill from the
EU and you supply your VAT number, they need not charge you tax. If they
bill you from the USA they will probably not charge you sales tax either.

You can tell I haven't got this far in the registration process yet :-)

Yes, that would be quite a good solution. It's a good application of the
"stone soup" story too. Any company that gets a $200 copy of IDEA for
internal "unlimited eval" may well be more likely to buy more full price
copies when they see how good it is.

Also, independent contractors/consultants like us are often brought into
companies that do not have employees of the same experience level. Such
employees may not normally see the benefits of an IDE like IDEA so
helping contractors / industry professionals like this might actually
stimulate more corporate sales.

Bah, I'm starting to sound like Microsoft. Ha ha, are we MVPs (Most
Valued Professionals) who deserve special treatment because we will
evangelise about your products. LOL.

All the above could be completely without basis, but I think not. I know
my client just bought lots of copies because I recommended it.

Cheers
