I would definitely agree with this if just one small problem could be 
addressed.

I have had a couple of occasions where a copy of the options dir to a 
new build caused problems (like having multiple <output dir> listed in a 
project config and not being able to delete them.

Can I ask for each release to either have consistent config files or be 
able to cope and update older versions (at least for a couple of builds 
back)

Yes please! I have asked for this a couple of times as folks with twin monitor setup 
would 

them be able to make better use of the screen. Is there any plan to allow this ?
