Not this is intellijs problem or anything... but i'll chime in here and say that I have also been experiencing inconsistent and frustrating cut & paste behavior under Linux & GNOME.. this happens with all Swing apps I have used... it's especially painful when I want to use middle-mouse button... it seems to have a harder time than ctrl-c/x, ctrl-v.
