I don't think the speed issues are traceable to mulit-processor machines
because both of the machines I am evaluating build 602 on are single
processor and it's still about half the speed of 545. It takes 300% longer to
start up on my 1.33GHz AMD with 512 MB DDR RAM, and that is just plain slow.
I've turned the LVCS integration off and EJB support is off too and it is
still slow. I wouldn't call it too slow to use but it is definitely slower
than any of the 5XX builds.

Hi

I think the slow Idea performance might have something to do with
multiprocessor machines. Or maybe WinXX on multiprocessor machine.

Except Hani I remember one more email mentioning slow performance on 2
processor machine.

Third person is my friend who is almost unable to evaluate IDEA on his
2 processor Win2000 machine. Ofcourse IDEA works like a speed demon on
very simmilar machine, but with just one processor.

Does anybody on the list is able to run IDE with reasonable speed on
multiprocessor Win2000 machine?

Regards, Ada
