I think, IntelliJ, you do not need to stick with the 1.3.1 Jdk. If you find 
good reasons (e.g. better focus handling in IDEA) to switch to 1.4, than 
just do it. If the 1.3.1 is possible as target Jdk, than there is no 
problem - at least for me.
