Actually, it would be nice if there was a way to set an option to automatically optimize/format on close (maybe build time as well?).  The time to do formatting and import optimization seems to be pretty quick.
I also like seeing the unused imports.

I would really like this feature, but make it something that can be turned off. I like the import optimization features that are already in there, but I would also find it really helpful if IDEA would tell me which imports aren't being used so I can update manually when I'm in the code and I notice some imports are unused.

I'd like to be able to see at a glance which imports are not in use, similar to the way that unused method/field/whatever are displayed with a different color. Is this possible?
