Title: RE: [Eap-list] 615:Still Problems with Schemas

Rob,

  1. The following thread: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg06730.html> describes the level of validation support in IDEA.
  2. See Tools | Validate.

Two further questions:
1. Why is this not going to be supported? Missing required elements from a sequence seems to be a large piece of validation.

2. You mentioned invoking external validation from IntelliJ. How would we do this?

Rob,

It is not planned to add on-the-fly checking of element ordering. You can always invoke external validation from the menu to perform full-featured validation.

There still seems to be a problem with XML Schemas. For most of the validation they seem to work now, but the problem is with the "xs:sequence" elements. There is no validation on the ordering or on required elements inside sequences. You can remove required elements from inside sequences, or you can put them in in the wrong order and the validator does not complain.

Other than this the XML stuff is looking good!
Thanks,
