Hint #1: An elegant way to go through the above idea
(we need to circumvent such hardwired concepts from time to time)
is to set `chmod 1777 /opt` (ie. /tmp style) and revert back
as soon as the build is over. Hint #2: try first /tmp/opt/, to prototype it
