If this kind of technique would be desired, why not add in the versionsuffix of GCC the versions of gmp, mpfr, mpc and friends - and we take it from there :-P It’s all about being rigorous after all, isn’t it ?!?! If you want to shop ways to handle such complexity issues, I suggest to have a look at “biodeps”, it relates to this kind of itch.
