or is there a newer one (it looks rather old/idle).
No, that's the one indeed.
Welcome aboard :)

Hopefully you'll be kinder in your critiques of my easyconfigs here :)

I don't think it's used very actively, but it is a semi-official "dumping
ground" for unfinished work or likewise, where people can leave stuff behind they
want to share with others.
That usage pattern is kind of normal: sometimes it remains idle for months,
some other times people dump their 6K of easyconfigs in a single commit. No
problem with that :)

Just ask to join and create your subdirectory with your git name under the
./users area
and do your direct upstream push (no PRs needed over there, keep it simple).

Well, Kenneth, Petar and Markus all know I could use the git/Github practice/training, but OK... no PRs. :( (though I will have to still learn how to use it this way... Markus
didn't teach me that ;)

You do us a favour if, all interested fellows react on this within 24hrs, see
README.

I'm glad you mentioned the README... I never got that far (was busy exploring the available stuff so far). I always carry a towel so another one would be nice to have. Properly organizing this mess[*] before trying to upstream might take
a bit more than a day though.
