Dear EasyBuilders,
After spending countless hours debugging installation problems that
eventually can be attributed to the use of CMake, we feel it's time to
take some action...
We propose to deprecated the support for installing and using CMake in
EasyBuild, to try and motivate both end users and software developers to
consider alternatives like SCons and Bazel.
The pull request for this change has been opened just now, see
https://github.com/easybuilders/easybuild-framework/pull/3991 .
We welcome any feedback on this.
