Hello,

I wanted to discuss one of the biggest issues we deal with when planning
for an eBox deployment on an existing infrastructure.

Often we find the organization is already using an Active Directory
domain. So far we need to manually change every computer in the
organization and add it to the new domain, also creating all user
accounts from scratch.

Our target is to migrate the organization to the new eBox domain
controller while keeping the computer and users account valid.

We guess we can sort this out by manually constructing the Samba TDBs
and filling in the LDAP information with the information in the
ActiveDirectory. eBox 1.4 is also able to work as a backup domain
controller, so maybe it would be possible to use this capability to
migrate the domain information.

Does eBox or any user have a documented procedure for doing this?

(As a matter of information, we find this is seriously hampering our
ability to transparently deploy eBox and adverselly impacting customer
experience and project costs).

Thank you!
