Yesterday, I installed from scratch and I couldn't reproduce your issue. Could please do the following to reinstall: Add the following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ebox-unstable/ubuntu hardy main Save changes. Run: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get remove --purge libebox sudo apt-get install "^ebox-.*" Try to add a user again and see if we get the same result.
