I've only had positive experiences with EchoVNC so far so I've decided to try out TightVNC as many have spoken highly about it. I've downloaded this version: ftp://ftp.echogent.com/TightVNC/bin/TightVNC_ew1.83.exe - by the way what's the relationship between EchoVNC and TightVNC? Does EchoVNC "rebuild" with the EchoServer or is it a joint effort? Just curious.
I have 2 questions :o) 1. I tried to connect to a computer (using EchoServer) and wanted to save the connection as .vnc file. When I try to use the .vnc file I get the following error: "Failed to connect to server (127.0.0.1::1561). I guess that's the IP I was connected to when I made the .vnc file. So is there any way to look for the logged on username in stead of the IP when I'm saving the .vnc file? 2. I remember someone was talking about hiding the server icon in the system tray (when run as a service). Is that possible and how do I do it? Jimmy Using Tomcat but need to do more?
