Hi Scott,

Thank you for your suggestion. My computers are behind a NAT router, so
it's not a firewall issue. I'm also using the demo echoserver, not running
my own. I thought the problem might be the NAT router only allowing
translation for one internal machine to access the demo server. have you
seen this before? I tried disconnecting the machine that worked and then
connecting the other one, but I got the same result still. Not sure if the
NAT tables in the router keep their settings and I need to reset it. I'll 
try
again soon.

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.
