Hi,

I have a couple of connection issues.  So far we are in testing mode on EchoServer.

  1. We have twenty or so users in this location who would like to use EchoServer to connect to client servers so we can provide support.  If I have only one PC running Echo client software at this location I can click “Connect Via EchoServer” and open a VNC connection to a target server and work on that server almost as if I were there.  If I have more than one PC running Echo client software at this location and click “Connect Via EchoServer”, a tiny VNC viewer popup box displays a “connected” message but I never see the remote server’s desktop.  The EchoServer shows both PCs on my local network as connected from x.x.x.50.  Can we fix this so that all PCs on my local network can connect through one EchoServer to different client servers in such a way that we can work on different servers desktops from different PCs at the same time?
  2. 2.  High levels of color resolution on the target server slow down performance for administering that desktop remotely.  Windows RDP client has the option of turning down resolution in the client window, thus lowering bandwidth requirements for that connection.  I can’t find a similar setting for VNC Viewer.  Is there such a thing?  Or can you make one for future editions of EchoVNC Client?

Thanks

Peter White
