Using InstantVNC 1/33, EchoVNC Viewer 2.0 and EchoServer 1.50 all under
Windows/XP Pro, when I type into an application like Notepad, MS Word or
even the Run box, there is a substantial, sometimes indefinite lag in
display of the typed characters on the screen, for example if I type

            notepa

into the Start -> Run prompt, only

            notep

appears no matter how long I wait. But as soon as I type the ending d of
notepad, the final ad of notepad appears immediately. It's possible to force
the characters out by requesting a screen refresh. The problem does not
occur when the EchoVNC server is used instead of the InstantVNC

This problem is driving me crazy since I often leave a note in a Notepad
screen before signing off a machine I've been debugging. Because I'm not a
terrifically accurate typist, I really need to be able to see what I'm
typing as I type.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is it a bug? Does anyone know of a
solution?
