Brian:

I'll make a quick update to our serverMirror application, but as you'll
see it's not a finished idea: when you start a RDP connection using it,
it will return a TCP IP:port value, e.g. "127.0.0.1:12345". It's then
up to the
user to manually start "mstsc" to connect to this address. So it
works, but
isn't pretty. :)
The more finished idea is to modify the GUI of EchoVNC, so that
when it obtains a "See Who's Available" list, it parses that list
into two
groups: one which is accepting VNC connections, the other which is
accepting RDP connections. And for the latter, it will "autostart" the
terminal services client, if a connection to an RDP remote partner is
selected.

Of course...when you make an RDP connection to another Windows
PC...the screen on it's local monitor will "lock up" into a Windows
login
screen. So, it's not a "remote support" application like VNC is (ie,
I can
show you how to do something, remotely), as much as it is a "remote
administration" application. Still a worthwhile idea?

cheers,
Scott
