Richard:

        Heya. Yes, it's possible that there's a firewall between you
and the echoServer (at 62.3.230.195) which is blocking the
connection attempt. What I suggest trying is to run the echoServer
on TCP port 443, rather than the default TCP port 1328. Most
(every?) firewalls allow outbound traffic to TCP 443.
