Hello! Version 1.63 of EchoServer for Linux is now (finally!)
available:

http://www.echogent.com/download_echoserverlinux.htm
or
ftp://ftp.echogent.com/EchoServer/linux/bin

In addition to improved stability, this version now allows you to bind
the service to several ports simultaneously, for example TCP 443 and
TCP 1328. Any clients connecting to either port can now be accessible to
each other now.

As mentioned in earlier emails, the primary focus of this release is
improved stability with very large connection count. As described in the
README file, the limiting feature of your Linux PC (in terms of how many
echoWare clients it will accept) is the maximum number of open files.
To see that limit:

% ulimit -a

To change that limit, try this command as root, prior to starting up
your echoServer:

# ulimit -n 4096

        Comments or suggestions welcome.

cheers,
Scott
