I've just upgraded to EchoVNC 2.34 on Vista w/SP1. I did a clean install
(having shutdown the service, and removed the previous version). The new
version of the EchoVNC server appears to be running correctly, but there is
no icon in the service tray (after a reboot and check that the service is
running and signed on to the Echo Server). Further, when I invoke the Run
Service Helper, it appears to run for a couple of seconds but produces no
visible result on the screen or in the service tray. And an attempt to run
Show User Settings results in the message "No existing instance of EchoVNV
cold be contacted".

Is this expected operation?
