Well it does list the computers like that, but shouldn't it detect that user-1 is not sending out a heartbeat anymore? So the main issues is it's hard to tell which one is really active.

Nope, this is not a known issue. It actually sounds like a client-side issue: something is actually logging in multiple times with the same name.
