I too face the exact same problem as Richard. I'm using a Prolink USB Modem. The product ID and Vendor ID is exactly the same as ECI Hifocus modem. 100% Globespan modem with AN2131 chipset.
In my case I supposed to use vpi 0 vci 100. I've been trying a couple of times and I can't seems to get connected.
