[ECI] pppd: No such file or directory

hello, i have linux mandr. 9.2 and a eicon diva adsl modem i was directed tho this site (by eicon support) for downloading the driver for linux,   i did so, i downloaded eciadsl-usermode-0.8-1.i386.rpm  and the installation (as in the manual) seemed to give no problems and all was just fine. After the installation, and removal of dabusb, and configuration(# eciconf.sh) I gave : # startmodem And following happened: --------------------------------------------------------- setting up USB support (1/5)..   loading firmware (2/5)..   GlobeSpan USB ADSL WAN Modem compatible found (in 2125ms) ECI load1: success firmware loaded successfully   setting up modem (3/5)..   ECI load 2: success synchronization successful   connecting modem (4/5)..   nice: pppd: No such file or directory failed to connect [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# ---------------------------------------------------------- On the modem the left and middle led both glow (after the setting up USB support (1/5).. )  green (as if nothings wrong) no connection however, cant even ' ping'  or anything   can anyone help me please?? i have no clue what to do with this... I am not a regular user of linux and  i have been reading the beginners manual and all the FAQS, it doesnt mention this one.. THANX....   My email = [EMAIL PROTECTED] or just reply (hotmail)
