It happened to me, exactly the same, when I installed Mandrake 9.2. I used to run the driver with no problems in the 9.1 version, but I had the same error as you. By checking the /etc directory I noticed that actually there weren't any "ppp" or "pppd" directory... Apparently Mandrake 9.2 new installation process doesn't install the ppp package and a bunch of other (useful) programs and library. I re-installed Mandrake 9.2 again, without formatting my /home partition, and checked the packages I wanted to install manually, this time. Not only I got pppd, but also A LOT of programs and utilities that for some weird reason Mandrake doesn't install by default and that were presnt in the old releases. Alternatively you can install the pppd package by downloading it from the net (it's nt that big) or by going to KDE -> Configuration -> Mandrake Control Center (or better, "Configure My Computer", since they changed the name on the menu) -> software management -> add/remove softwares. Search for "ppp" and install the packages you get as result: they should be somewhere on CD1 or CD2. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Driver Linux pour modem ECI ADSL USB: http://eciadsl.flashtux.org Archives de cette liste de diffusion: http://liste.eci.free.fr Pour se desinscrire: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
