Hi, I saw a thread in the eciadsl mailing list (1) where a problem with the usb modem and a new RedHat kernel is described,
(1) http://liste.eci.free.fr/voir.php3?dt=20030921 http://liste.eci.free.fr/voir.php3?dt=20030922 and got errors like: kernel: usb: raced timeout, pipe 0xc0010300 status 0 time left 0 Now, I have the same problem with a custom kernel 2.4.26 on a debian box. these are the modules loaded on the box: coconuco:/var/log# lsmod Module Size Used by Not tainted hid 17408 0 (unused) ppp_synctty 5664 1 (autoclean) ppp_generic 18476 3 (autoclean) [ppp_synctty] slhc 4512 0 (autoclean) [ppp_generic] n_hdlc 6176 1 (autoclean) usb-ohci 18400 0 (unused) usbcore 59200 1 [hid usb-ohci] e1000 65536 1 It's a Dell PowerEdge 1600 with a US Robotics 8500 modem. Does someone know what options of the kernel must be enabled/disabled to solve this trouble? thanks in advance, -- Santiago Ruano Rincn Grupo GNU/Linux Universidad del Cauca http://www.unicauca.edu.co/~santiago/llaves/santiago_pub.asc "I know but one freedom, and that is the freedom of the mind." --Antoine de Saint-Exupery =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Driver Linux pour modem ECI ADSL USB: http://eciadsl.flashtux.org Archives de cette liste de diffusion: http://liste.eci.free.fr Pour se desinscrire: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
