That was the section I was referring to. Looking back at your original message, it does appear that the error is a bit different. It is definitely not something that I remember seeing before. There are a couple of things I noticed about your stack trace that you may want to look into.

1) You say you are running on top of a 1.4.1 JVM? If so, that is a really old JVM. I would suggest that you upgrade to the newest 1.4.2 JVM that you can get from Sun. Most of the emulators will run ok on the Java 5 JVM, but not all. 1.4.2 is a bit safer from that standpoint. It may just be that the JVM you are running on top of is having trouble running your emulator.

2) According to the stack trace, it appears you are trying to run with a security domain. Is your midlet appropriately signed? If you are really just getting started, you may want to avoid signing and security for a while until you get things going.

Give these things a try and see if it gets you anywhere.
