PS. I can build fricas on the same system using sbcl, so it's really something to do with ecl-11.1.1.
(On the same system, installing ecl (11.1.1-4) from the Debian package repo gives me a broken compiler: $ ecl ecl: symbol lookup error: ecl: undefined symbol: ecl_process_env) On 23 January 2012 01:19, Dima Pasechnik <dimpase+...@gmail.com> wrote: > On 23 January 2012 00:15, Waldek Hebisch <hebi...@math.uni.wroc.pl> wrote: >> Dima Pasechnik wrote: >>> >>> Is it a known problem? >>> Both fricas from their svn and fricas-1.0.9 (a Sage's optional >>> package) can't be built using ecl-11.1.1. >>> One gets lisp errors, as follows: >>> >>> [....] >>> ;;; Loading "/tmp/fricas/src/lisp/fricas-lisp.lisp" >>> #P"/tmp/fricas/src/lisp/fricas-lisp.lisp" >>> > >>> #<"FRICAS-LISP" package> >>> FRICAS-LISP> >>> ;;; >>> ;;; Compiling fricas-package.lisp. >>> ;;; OPTIMIZE levels: Safety=1, Space=0, Speed=3, Debug=0 >>> ;;; >>> ;;; End of Pass 1. >>> ;;; Internal error: >>> ;;; ** Unable to find include directory >>> NIL >>> [...] >>> >> >> I regularly build FriCAS using ecl and I never saw error like >> this.
