We plan to tag and release Nuxeo 5.1M2 next week, hopefuly on Monday.
It will be based on the new Maven structure, which currently lives in
a branch in the SVN.

If you are a core developer, try not to introduce foreseeable
unstabilities in the code.

If you want to help test the applications, you can build it for
yourself this way:

1. Have a clean (pristine) JBoss 4.0.4.GA instance on /opt/jboss
OK. Deleted my tests anstarted again (do not forget to mention that you
have to add "-XX:MaxPermSize=128m" in /opt/jboss/bin/run.conf)

This is already done by the Makefile.

It remains to be done for Windows (-> run.bat).

2. Checkout http://svn.nuxeo.org/nuxeo/nuxeo-ep/branches/maven from
the SVN.
OK no errors.

3. Run 'make' on the checked-out source code. You need Maven 2.0.4 or
2.0.5 (until a bug with Maven 2.0.6 is fixed) to get the project built
correctly.

We had some build failure around 2pm (Paris time) today (see: http:// hudson.nuxeo.org/hudson/job/Nuxeo_EP_5.1/ )

Maybe it's related ?

4. Run the application whith /opt/jboss/bin/run.sh
Not tried.
BTW I have a script to automatically startup jboss in Debian. If someone
is interested I can write an howto in the wiki.

I suppose so. Probably even more since Ubuntu 7.04 ("Feisty Fawn") is out now, with full Java support (http://www.ubuntu.com/news/java- stack-included-in-ubuntu).
