Hello, If you want to have a workspace or folder that only contains discussion forum, you should still use the forum attached to the document : each document would be a thread. You would probably want to change the view so that it looks more like a forum directory. this would need a few custo.
The idea is to let Nuxeo adaptable to any use case : Depending on your need, you are free to create a workspace that would be forum dedicated like a "knowledge exchange place" or to add a sub folder inside a "project" folder type, to use it more in a collaborative perspective, around specific topics.
