This prompted me to look at what database nuxeo uses. I looked on the
nuxeo web page where I found this:
From a technical point of view, the Storage Manager defines one or more
Content Sources representing physical databases and one or more
Repositories (stored in a Content Source) that act as content
repository. This abstraction enables using different data sources such as
a JCR
API-compliant engine (like Apache Jackrabbit), an XML database, a pure
RDBMS or an ODBMS to persist the content, following your needs.
This sounds good because it sounds like it can use whatever commercial
database my client happens to have as their company std.
In the case of my current client this happens to be Sybase. So does nuxeo
support sybase please? When I try out nuxeo at home I will
probably use mySQL but it would be nice to know that it can work with
sybase as well. What determines which databases it can work
with please?
