In fact, it's a disadvantage: I > don't know java... portal/wcm/ecm are three distinct beasts. Sometimes various components of each are integrated, cross pollinated by marketing types, but finding single package that handles all three capabilities well is something I've yet to find. And if I did, I suspect it would be quite the behemoth 9000 ton gorilla... ecm=enterprise content management. more focused on documents, revision control, workflows, etc. More recently ecm are incorporating wcm capabilities, and this is on the roadmap for Nuxeo, but I don't think it's going to give you the wcm that you may be envisioning in present state. (n.b. - but if you've got a budget then maybe want to talk to nuxeo.com). You like Python, check out Plone. Also sports drag n' drop these days. Nice and easy oob but customizing and configuring for enterprise deployment will take some investment of time. After which, it works/scales pretty nicely. A: Why is putting a reply at the top of the message frowned upon? _______________________________________________ ECM mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nuxeo.com/mailman/listinfo/ecm
