What do you mean by title "displayed" ? Are you thinking about the path components you use when doing "cd" ?
If so, then that's expected, these are "short" names and are usually not visible in the UI. They are set by Nuxeo EP from the initial title when a document is created but aren't changed afterwards.
You can do view somedoc to find out more of its info and for instance the dc:title.
